Late Work:

Bellwork:
Bellwork is done in both LA and SS daily. I take this up and check it for completion and choose one day (the same on everyone) to grade for accuracy. This is an easy 100 for most. If you look on powergrade and see differently it means they literaly are not doing it.

Detention:
1 hour long usually 315-415 on Tuesday and Friday. I will call if your child has detention or leave you an email. If your child has had detention their conduct is automatically dropped to an S.

Thursday, September 6, 2007

THINK LINK

If you have not paid for this please send 7$ in a closed envelope with your child's name on it. This test is very helpful and everyone needs to take it. Think Link determines what we need to working on for TCAP. More than half of my class has paid for the test already. We will be taking the test on 9/24 or 9/26.

A little Change

*I will be splitting up the test Friday into a reading test and then a voc. quiz. The students should do well with this there are only 5 voc. words. This will make two grades instead of one.
*Interims will be sent home on Tuesday. It will only have an overall average and thier conduct on it. Everyones conduct will show E for right now. I will not be changing this till the end of the semester. However, you should recieve an email or phone call if thier conduct grade drops. If your child has had a detention they already have an S.

Amendment to Tuesday 8/21

TLW begin taking a grammar diagnostic test. This is not for a grade. It is just to see where your child is, so that I may better assist them. The rest of the week will be the same. Although some of the material may be pushed back a day.

Welcome to Mrs. Williams Class

Hello students and parents! I hope all of you had a great summer. This blogg will be used as my lesson plan book. I will post on it weekly. However, understand that I will not be checking this daily. Email me for immediate assistance. I check my email account three times a day ( c4williams@scsk12.org ).

The first and second day of school students will spend some extra time in their homeroom. This extra time will allow the teachers to issue books, teach proceedure, and introduce themselves. Students will also complete a few fun activities to help the teacher and other students get to know one another. These two days they will have no MAPS classes (music, art, P.E. ).

On Wednesday, instruction will begin. Students will be sent home will many forms for you to sign. These forms will all be due by Friday. If you have questions about any of them please feel free to email me directly. I will be posting more detailed lesson plans for the week at a later date.

I also want to stress to you that all the plans are here are tenative, meaning that they can change. Sometimes there will be a need to move the dates of items listed for even delete them totally. Students will be notified immediately of this and the blogg will be undated asap.

Let's have a great year. I look forward to teaching your child.

Thanks
C.Williams
